Gaillardia pulchella is a hardy plant, not picky about soil, though sandy and well-drained are best. It has a high drought tolerance and does best with a dry, hot climate in full sun. Its vibrantly colored flowers can be seen carpeting fields and the sides of highways for miles in the summer to late fall. Favored by honeybees, it produces a dark reddish amber buttery tasting honey. In the garden, the flowers can be deadheaded to promote further blooming. It self-seeds freely. - Wikipedia

Indian blanket is a major wildflower of the prairies and meadows. It reseeds readily and is easy to grow; good drainage is the only requirement. Rich soils will produce large, floppy plants with few flowers. This species is a short-lived perennial in warm, coastal areas. The bloom period can be prolonged by deadheading and supplemental summer watering. - Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower center

Seed Packs and the paper sleeve labels, are made from 100% post consumer paper. That means these seed packs are compostable! I actually take the labels that mis-printed and feed them to my worm bins. I wonder if worms can read?

Seeds are measured by weight, 0.5 g
